Everyone could use a chance to get away and enjoy life outside of screens and ringtones. We like to think we're above the years when people lived off of the land, but a part of every person longs for the natural beauty of untouched wilds. Although much land is cultivated, there are still plenty of areas where you can sneak away and enjoy what nature has to offer.
If you’re in Canada and want to get the best view possible: these should be your top stops.
Victoria
At the southern tip of British Columbia, Victoria is a natural beauty. Although an art community is strong and resilient in this city, natural beauty holds its own against the stroke of a paintbrush. The vast and endless beaches give way to rocking and rolling waves and beautiful endless skies. Inland there are lush greeneries year-round, with waterfalls and rivers galore. It's no wonder this city feels like a colony of artists; anyone would feel inspired living here.
Banff
Banff National Park needs no real introduction. This national park is world-renowned for how stunning its surroundings are. Mountains encircle the city in beautiful crisp white. Their jagged shapes are almost unbelievably large in person, leaving any visitor feeling small in their wake. Although this park is best known for skiing and outdoor sports, you'll never find anything more adrenaline-inducing than the beautiful views that fill this park.
Vancouver
Vancouver may not be what you'd consider when thinking about landscapes, but this city has jaw-dropping views from every angle. From the gorgeous coastline that unfurls up its skinny beaches to the mountains that stretch out and rise above the city's skyline, nature cups Vancouver in its hands like a gift. Getting away from city life requires a short drive and a little patience, and soon you'll be away from the hustle and bustle of looking at Vancouver homes for sale and will be one with beautiful views.
Jasper
Jasper National Park is where land meets ice and sky. This sprawling park is a halo of mountain and river views and countless unique animals and experiences. From land-locked glaciers to rivers so dense and fast they're like thunder on rocks, every inch of Jasper is a vision from a fantasy movie or beautiful painting. The people are fantastic here and are happy to tell you some of the area's deep history while you enjoy the gorgeous views. Glacier off-run creates the thinnest and most beautiful river you'll ever see, and against the craggy rocks and sharp trees, it will feel like paradise.
Rouge Park
Toronto's skyline is internationally famous: but many don't realize it's also home to one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the world. Rouge Park, centered around the Rogue River, is a national park with gorgeous rolling hills, a beautiful view of the river, and dense forests that combine into a magical experience.
Walking through this park, and seeing the natural views unfold around you, can feel like you're stepping into a postcard or a picture-perfect print. There's nothing quite like Rouge Park; it's paradise.
